| Conflict between AGP on the Intel motherboard and ATI Radeon 8500 DV Card Since the time I installed the Intel D845 Motherboard, I have lost the TV Tuner functionality of the Radeon 8500 DV Card and I am wondering if this is because of any contention for handling graphic functionality between the motherboard's AGP and the Graphic Display function of Radeon. The manual of the 3D Gillemot/Hercules Card of ATI recommends disabling the graphic capabilities of the motherboard smooth functioning of the graphic display/video capture functioning of the Radeon card. Firstly, is it necessary and secondly, is there any way to disable the graphic function of the Intel motherboard or can the graphic component of the motherboard be (and has to be) physically removed without affecting the functionality of the motherboard in order to get the TV tuner working? Jayant > Hey now: hope I'm not too late and I can help. you should disable the internal vid in the BIOS and make sure you allocate an IRQ for the ATi card. Also check your Device Manager and make sure the device has a DMA channel. Lastly reinstall DirectX 9. Good Luck | |||
