| Hi, I got a new HD, a serial ATA (Seaguate 200Go-Barracuda 7200- model 3200822as), and I already have a ATA (IDE) HD working good on the PC. The problem is that only the power green light of computer comes on after connecting the new SATA hard drive in the motherboard . Serial ATA cable is corectly plugged in the Serial ATA connector "0" on motherboard and in HD. Serial ATA power cable of the SATA hard drive is connected. With both HD, nothing starts except power green light (no fan, no boot, no sound, nothing. thus the BIOS isn't accessible...). Start computer with only IDE HD and everything fine. I tried a lot of thing like unplugged the CD-ROM, the DVD-Rom and the ATA HD, but always the same result. I read instruction here http://support.intel.com/support/chi...serial_dir.htm and I did exactly what they said, no result... My current config : Motherboard: Intel D865GLC RAM: 1,5 gigs OS: Win XP SP2 HD: Maxtor Diamond Max 120 Go ATA/133 -model 6y120po HD JUMPER : MASTER | |||
