| We have a NT 4 server on a Intel Boxed motherboard and processer where the system clock is accelerating. It is changing days about one day per 2-3 seconds. With the date and time applet open, I watch the hands of the clock turn in circles kind of like watching a movie. I wish I could make an avi of this Any ideas? We already replaced the motherboard and tried new batteries. Thank You, Kevin Hammond | |||

| Does the time/date advance at the same rate when the system in shut down? If not it is software based. | I shutdown all services that I could and ended every process I could and the problem was still occuring. So I suspect if it is software based, it is hiding somewhere or it is a bug. | I could not verify the date difference between shutting down and turning on expct that it was some significant time in the future. I am scales enough off that I can't interpret 1 minute of being turned off compared to 10 seconds of being turned off in addition to the error incurred during the time lapse during boot. But, I did monitor the clock in the bios and it was operating normally and it was relatively close to the time when I shutdown the system, so whatever is happening is actually writing to the sytem clock, but I am relatively confident that this is software based.
