| PentiumIV 2,0GH 20GBATA 256RAM intel desktop Board D850GB i have recently reinstalled my windows xp home and than i noticed that my CD with drivers was broken. On the website of the developer i have found such a notice: "End of Interactive Support Announcement These products are no longer being manufactured by Intel. Additionally, Intel no longer provides interactive support for these products via telephone or e-mail, nor will Intel provide any future software updates to support new operating systems or improve compatibility with third party devices and software products. " However i have found some older drivers but they don't want to install and i don't know why? I have sound card integrated with board (soundmax) and i don't know how to make it work... i would be grateful for any advice | |||

| If you enter the Intel site at the home page and choose "Support & Downloads" from the pages top menu bar and then wind your way through the drop down lists and active menus you can reach a download page for your board that contains updates that include your audio. Following is the URL for that download http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...&ProductID=486 Certainly these days you might feel more comfortable going through the Intel site yourself. Either way, this may fix you right up. The other thought here is to scrounge Ebay for a replacement CD or call Intel and see if they might have one left for you. | Michal, I ran into the same problem upgrading from 98se to W2k...however, upon consulting the "Intel Desktop Board D850GB/D850GBAL Quick Reference" booklet that came with the motherboard, I noticed that on pg 4 & 5, the ADI AD1885 audio codec is ONLY on the D850GBAL motherboard...NOT the D850GB. Hope this helps. david. michalkrauze@autograf.pl (michal) wrote in message news:<9958cbd.0401311403.40b40533@posting.google.c om>... > PentiumIV 2,0GH 20GBATA 256RAM intel desktop Board D850GB > > i have recently reinstalled my windows xp home and than i noticed that > my CD with drivers was broken.
