| MK PitStop Member | Hello Everyone, I would like to know what would be the benefit for me to make a network between my laptop and my computer? I know for one I can share files really quick, which is really something I need. And I heard something about sharing internet and printer and scanner? Well is there anyone who can tell me some more about it, like whta the benefits are, and how do I set it up? Just to tell everyone in the beginning, I have no knowledge of hardware or anything!

| Back Office Guy- ![]() | Basically two options 'wired' or 'wireless', benifits basically wireless no cables, but is more expensive. To set it up from a wired point of view, basically get a routher with at least 4 ports on it. get some cat5e network cable, plug the network cable into the back of the computer and plug the other end into the router. basically that is it some set may be required in terms of ips and such, but not that hard to be honest. Will search my bookmarks and throw a link your way | ||
