I am not sure about your question, but how large is your tower and how many watts does your PSU have, you can pigtail Molex cables but you must add up the wattage you are using and depending on the speed you are using for your HDs, if I understand your question...

I have a PSU of 400wats, looking at it I will have the room in my tower.

When you say pigtail how do you mean? also do you have any pictures of this done to the Molex cables? and are Molex cables just IDE cables?

Kris, Most if not all PSU have at least 2 each Y Molex power cables, when I said pigtail I meant you can double up on the molex power cables if you need more power, just make sure that you know exactly how many watts you are drawing before you start plugging in too many things, if you only have 1 each HD you will be able to add another with a 400w PSU if you have the room on your ribbon cable as well...

basically you can get a max of 4 hard drives or IDE devices so to speak. Most mobo support 2 ide channels and each channel cable will support 2 devieces(HDD,CDROM,DVD etc).
apart from the power issues as pcguy states just really a matter of pulluging them in and setting the jumper setting on the devies to master and slave.

***Note To Tutorial makers this would be a nice tutorial to make with some piccies to go along with it***

i would recommend buying an IDE controller PCI card, you can then have up to 8 hard drives if you count the card and the 4 supported by your motherboard
