| Member Level 3 | My mother always tell me that I should not be infront of a computer for long hours for I will get sick from the radiation of the monitor. So in order to stop her from saying that every now and then, I just bought a monitor filter. Will it really lower the radiation from the monitor or will it just lower the light from it? | ||

| MK PitStop Member | The article wasn't very clear. The author wrote that monitor filters are good for the lungs because they attract dust and prevent them from getting inhaled. But how is a monitor filter bad to the eyes? I don't think he has explained that. Filters are able to reduce the glare and the consequent eyestrain, that is, according to the marketing of 3M computer filters. So do you guys use filters at all? | MK PitStop Member | I am not too definite, but my father also got me a monitor filter, apparently to decrease the glare and UV ray exposure. In all fairness, the glare is decreased considerably. | ||
