Default oc xp 1700

I overcklocked a xp 1700 via the fsb to run at 2.2 w/ 200 fbs
and when im running sometimes when im running windows I
get the blue screen of death stop error 0x0000009c,
im think its not over heating,
it runs at 45C idle and at full load it run 49C
whats wrong?

run a stability test on the system, and my guess is that it will crash if you set it to 24hr test..... my guess is that 2.2 GHz is too much for a 1700+....the big thing to remember about the AMD XP chips is that they run hot, so to overclock them without extensive cooling is asking for trouble usually

I was also wondering does a athlon xp running at 2.2 (3100 i think) stock run
hotter than an overclocked processor, like in my case

ususally a CPU running at an overclocked rate will run hotter than a "stock" one.....but this is just a generic answer, it really depends on your cooling setup, and the cores of the two CPU's

that happened to me one time, what i did wrong was turn the computer off the wrong way like every day, i had to stop and the blue screen of death stopped too!
