Default cd burning problems

Do you guys have any problems with burning cds? If I burn the cd at too high of a speed, some files burned will be corrupted. Therefore I burn them slowly (at 2x ) to make the disc perfect. Do any of you guys experience this problem. Please let me know.

Some of the problems might come if you are burning at a speed higher than the CD you are using is rated for. If this happens when burning at correct speeds for both your burner drive and the CD I would be concerned that there is a problem with your machine.

Ahhhhhhh, now we get down to it. Ubuntu is notorious for coming down corrupt. How about other things, when you burn them, are they corrupt?

I would suggest downloading Ubuntu again and running the check sums-instructions are available on the site.

Guys, i suggest to burn at half speed of the speed indicated on CD/DVD, for best results.

If they have not put that, burn in half of your cd/DVD burner speed.

I recommend this because it is a blend if optimal speed and nearly guaranteed burning.

Give the verify disc option for better results...

I usually burn the cds at high speed. Till now I did not get any problems. My friends had problem when they burnt at high speed. But I am burning at maximum speed, actually it should not cause any problem.
