Default Burning Question

... Or a question on burning.

I recently burned data as an audio CD format, so it will play on most players. Then one song skipped to the next. Why does that happen? Is there something wrong with how the CD writer burned the file on the CD? I don't think it was the file itself because it played okay in the computer.

Files will mostly all burn ok as they cant skip on a pc in the way they do on a CD, has your CD got any scratches on? and did you use a software to burn the CD like nero?

Did you also try it on another player? It may be the component having some reading problems.

Also what format are you using? WMA or MP3? If it's WMA you might consider converting it to MP3. There'll be loss in quality, tho.

To burn it as an audio CD, the format is WMA. I didn't use Nero, just Windows Media Player. The CD doesn't have scratch, though, and the player is a Sony DHC FL5D.

My nephew just told me the CD played okay in a discman, but one song skips in the Sony player. That's queer. A component reading problem?
