you are trying to go from DB9 to USB? ... this is possible, but my question is why would you try to make a cable, when you could just buy one from a local computer retailer for about 20 or 30 bucks? Best Buy and Circuit City both sell such a cable, Radio Shack might as well.

If you want to be an absolute nerd and make one just to say that you made one, then im sure you can find a pinout somewhere on the interweb.

Honestly though, your going to spend just about as much on materials as it would be just to buy the freaking addapter

Seemed to have turned out into an interesting topic, unfortunately I'm not doing that anymore. And it was for a project, i don't just wake up and want to design products.
