Default anti-virus

hi all,

quick question. is it possible to install 2 internet anti-virus devices in 1 computer? if it could happen do you have to turn them on one at a time or would it be together?

I don't think that is a good idea... most anti-virus devices detect one another as a virus, and they will try to delete each other... just install one, and do an online virus scan from time to time as extra protection.

good luck!

Don't install 2 antivirus in 1 system. It will slow down your system and your system might crash. But nod32 can be safely used along with other antivirus, but not advisable. If you want to crash your system use 2 antivirus like norton and bitdefender

You are welcome. Infact I personally have the experience. I installed panda antivirus on a system which already had norton. You know what happened, my computer got hung. It took nearly 30 min to start and I could not open any program, not even add and remove program. Then I formated my system.

One anti-virus is enough. IF you run two, they may asap spoil eah other's functionality.
But one powerful and another less powerful anti-virus will not spoil each other. This is what I experienced on trial basis.

Running 2 antiviruses will make your system crash because they will detect each another as virus and your system will be more corrupted than before. Just install one and run it..test it if it works good for you..if not just change it..you can run antivirus and antispyware together though.

I don't even think they would let anyone install two. I think one would prohibit the other one from working. I have free Mcafee with my aol and free norton with my dsl provider. I had to choose which to install I chose Mcafee because they both wouldn't install one would say it had to delete the other and so on.
