| Hi All, Just purchased a TomTom 910 and I am a bit concerned about the age of the maps supplied. The maps are 650.1052 for Europe and 650.1073 for USA. I think they may be a year old at least. Can anyone shed any light on the latest and when they came out or point me to a site that would have this information. Mant thanks Ferret | |||

| Thanks, I know that the maps are behind time but what I am asking is if the maps are the latest to be issued, not how accurate they would be. I don't want to purchase a new piece of equipment with out of date software. | The maps are maybe 6 months old. The latest version of North American maps is 6.65, but some people are saying that the v6.5 is better. As for European maps, the most recent ones are v6.75. Does TomTom offer a free or cheap upgrade? | |||

When I bought my TT710 I discovered that it had an older map on it than my friend got with his 710 bought a week earlier from a different supplier. I have complained to Trading Standards since TomTom refused to give me a free map upgrade, saying simply it was the 'luck of the draw'. I argue that the maps are an intrinsic part of the purchase and should therefore be clearly identifiable as the current/latest before buying. Stan | |||
