From my own experience, it depends on the MAP you load to the data
card or you may accidently don't have Street Navigator loaded or
enabled.

I have StreetPilot III Deluxe and it drove me nut because it kept
giving wrong or the worst route, and took long time to re-calculate
(only recalculated when the pointer disappeared from screen) etc. then
later I found out that I uploaded only MetroGuide v5 to data card and
forgot City Navigator. After I added City Navigator to the data card
the auto-route works as supposes to, and it recalculates with in few
seconds instead of minutes.

So, you may need to load some City Navigator's blocks of your local to
the Data Card, and it should solve the problem.

Make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the unit.

Good tip. I installed the version 2.5 it should calculate faster
because it calculates only to the next point.

Thanks for your help
