Mapsource 5 Beta No transfer exceeds memory warning?

Just noticed that Mapsource beta 5 does not seem to post the warning
that more than the 19 or so megs of maps limit has been reached. Am I
missing something?

I haven't used the Mapsource5 yet, but I always look at the information
in the lower left part about how much memory I actually have chosen for
maps.

Oops, I am using the final. Anyway to be clearer I am using the GPS V which
has the 19 meg limitation, but the Mapsource version 5 does not seem to
give the warning that the previous versions did about the limitation being
reached as you add new map segments to be transferred to the GPS V.

From the feature list for MapSource v.5:
32. Removed the prompts from the selected Maps tab that would display
the text "(may not fit)" or "(may be too many)" after the selected
maps count/size because this could be misleading for users who had
multiple devices to which they were transferring data.

This does seem a little goofy, when it's so easy to query the GPS unit
for its ID, then limit things based on its known capacity.

Maybe they can't query the memory modules - Garmin's or CF - so they
ditch the entire process.
