| Just like to say a big thanks to everyone at In-Car Express for the service I've received recently. I ordered an iPod to Sony Unilink adaptor last weekend to connect my new iPod to the system in my car. When the item arrived on Wednesday the phono and Unilink cables were there along with the instructions, but the unit itself along with the cable to connect to the iPod were missing (the top half of the box was empty). Spoke to In-Car Express, neither of us could figure out what had happened as the packing weight was correct, but they sent out the missing parts (adaptor unit and iPod cable) straight away on next day guaranteed delivery, which indeed arrived the next day - in plenty of time for me to get them fitted before leaving as I was going off on holiday yesterday morning (writing this from the laptop now). I think it was Jon that I spoke to when I phoned, if so then as I said to you on the phone yesterday, first class service and thanks for sorting things out so quickly, especially as the problem was not one of your own making. Too many companies these days would turn round and say "not our fault, take it up with whoever", so much appreciated. I will certainly be using you again! Oh, and the iPod sounds lovely in the car (2003 Audi A4, Sony MDX-CA580 MD head unit, MDX-66LP MD changer, Connects2 iPod adaptor with ID3 support, XA-C30 source selector, Vibe DeltaBox line driver, JBL GTO-4000 amp, 2x JBL 10" subs, factory fit speakers). Highly recommended for anyone wanting lots of music on the go! -- Glenn Richards Tel: (01453) 845735 Squirrel Solutions http://www.squirrelsolutions.co.uk/ IT consultancy, hardware and software support, broadband installation | |||

I'm sure that some people are going to think that this is someone from In-Car Express posting. That's always what happens in newsgroups, I suppose understandably as some companies probably do abuse them. But I believe this is a genuine post. A couple of years back, In-Car Express gave me a lot of advice about a sound system for a MINI (Alpine CDA-9813R and Phoenix Gold Octane-R speakers) and it was fantastic advice. They were so helpful and I'd definitely recommend them and use them again.

And another vote for them from me. I've bought a fair few bits for myself and friends and Jon and the other staff have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. -- Alex Piece by piece the penguins have taken my sanity www.drzoidberg.co.uk www.ebayfaq.co.uk

It's an exceptionally tough business to be in these days, and getting tougher all the time - so it's nice to know our efforts are appreciated! Trust me, this was a genuine post. :-) I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service I received, as I said in my original posting too many companies would turn around and say "not our problem". It's when things go wrong that you can tell what kind of service you'll get - and Jon and co sorted things out very quickly (doubly impressed given that the problem wasn't their fault, we think someone at Royal Mail had perhaps helped themselves to some of the contents). -- Glenn Richards Tel: (01453) 845735 Squirrel Solutions http://www.squirrelsolutions.co.uk/ IT consultancy, hardware and software support, broadband installation
