| Hi Everyone Just bought a new Kenwood CD player for my Zafira under good advice that it's easy to install. Problem is I can't get the Phillips one out that is still in there! Short of buying a Haynes manual, has anyone got any tips on how to get it out? I've removed the 4 little screws on the facia, but do I also need to remove any parts of the facia to get it out? Thanks in advance. I've in the past done this on a couple of occasions and find that if you speak to someone politely and ask for 30 seconds of assistance they will do it free of charge. -- Alex SRX 400 "I laugh in the face of danger" "Then I hide until it goes away" www.drzoidberg.co.uk | |||

| You can buy a set a radio keys from most Decent outlets. My last set cost me £3 ish. You just push them in, grab the philips by any means neccecery and pull it out. Behind it should be an iso connector that hooks up to almost all common head units. It may be inside the holding bracket for the philips. This needs to be removed and the iso unclips from it. Sugestion: I will also point out that if you have trouble losing radio stations when you remove the keys: After a lot of searching online, i found 1 article online saying that the ignition and +12v feed are backwards on Vauxhall Iso systems. Try it without cutting cables first. if u loose the stations, try swapping the 2 feeds. It worked for me (Vectra 97), but i strongly suggest checking online or with a dealer before cutting wires. Good Luck. mike. let me know how it goes... Disclaimer: I can not be held responsible for anyone elses actions. | nice one mike, thanks for the info i've got my fingers inside the casette slot and given it a good yank tonight, but it didn't budge. you reckon there are other clips and screws holding it in that these keys would undo, or is it just in tight? ta -- piehawk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via RealCarAudio.com - The checkmate of the caraudio community. http://www.RealCarAudio.com piehawk's Profile: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/m...fo&userid=2542 View this thread: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/s...threadid=12647 | |||

| you need the radio keys. there U Shaped. the fit inside the holes where u removed the screws. there pretty simple to find.just try not to get ripped off when u buy them. if u have an old coat hanger u can unwind it and use a pair of wire cutters 2 cut in half, u could make a make-shift set......
