Default Problem removing Zafira radio

Hi Everyone

Just bought a new Kenwood CD player for my Zafira under good advice
that it's easy to install.

Problem is I can't get the Phillips one out that is still in there!
Short of buying a Haynes manual, has anyone got any tips on how to get
it out?

I've removed the 4 little screws on the facia, but do I also need to
remove any parts of the facia to get it out?

Thanks in advance.

Pie

I assume thats my post you were replying to?

I've in the past done this on a couple of occasions and find that if you
speak to someone politely and ask for 30 seconds of assistance they will do
it free of charge.

Default Problem removing Zafira radio

You can buy a set a radio keys from most Decent outlets.

My last set cost me £3 ish.

You just push them in, grab the philips by any means neccecery and pull it
out.

Behind it should be an iso connector that hooks up to almost all common head
units.

It may be inside the holding bracket for the philips. This needs to be
removed and the iso unclips from it.

Sugestion:

I will also point out that if you have trouble losing radio stations when
you remove the keys:

After a lot of searching online, i found 1 article online saying that the
ignition and +12v feed are backwards on Vauxhall Iso systems.

Try it without cutting cables first. if u loose the stations, try swapping
the 2 feeds.

It worked for me (Vectra 97), but i strongly suggest checking online or with
a dealer before cutting wires.

Good Luck.

mike.

let me know how it goes...

nice one mike, thanks for the info

i've got my fingers inside the casette slot and given it a good yank
tonight, but it didn't budge. you reckon there are other clips and
screws holding it in that these keys would undo, or is it just in
tight?

you need the radio keys. there U Shaped.
the fit inside the holes where u removed the screws.
there pretty simple to find.just try not to get ripped off when u buy them.

if u have an old coat hanger u can unwind it and use a pair of wire cutters
2 cut in half, u could make a make-shift set......
