Ask Halfords for the Peugeot 206 speaker adapter, look in their book and see if the pic is the same. I'm not taking my speakers out now, or I would be able to tell you which is +ve. Ben | |||

| You can't do anything wit the radio in another car. The radio exchanges a code with the ECU. If the code doesn't match, than the radio gives an annoying 'beep' every 10 seconds I think. So, if you put the radio in your Pontiac, it will play, but it wil beep too. My problem is another one though: I the wires are disconnected somewhere along the line. The autodealer even told me so. I'm heading out there to get et connected. I'll let you know what happens. -- torring ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via RealCarAudio.com - The checkmate of the caraudio community. http://www.RealCarAudio.com torring's Profile: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/m...fo&userid=3111 View this thread: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/s...?threadid=6646 | |||

| torring wrote: > *I want to install rear speakers, but I can't get the panels off. > Does anybody have ant experience with the Citroen C3's panels? * Alright, I succeeded: My model may be specific for the Danish market (C3 1.4Hdi Prestige). It only has speakers in the front. To install speakers in the back doors you have to remove the panel first, and you do that by pulling of the window-handle and seperatin the door handle with a screwdriver revealing two screws. After undoing the two screws you can pull off the panel with a littl force (it is easiest from the buttom) don't worry about breakin anything, it is sturdy. You will find that wires are installed, but they are only carrie through to the rubber tube running from the door to the chassis. You can disconnect the rubber tube and find the ends. On the iso-connector for the radio, wires are ALSO connected, but the end somewhere I can't find. Cut the wires and weld the new cable on. It is easy to draw the wire under the mat, and the panels under th front door are easily removed. With a little more welding you should be on your way. The speakers themselves cannot be installed directly into the door, bu it was easy to make a frame for them. There is room for a 6" speaker and probably larger. Let me know if you (anyone) need any help. I also installed a GPS-unit for my PocketPC under the front panels i anybody are interested: [image: http://www.pdamed.dk/forumpics/Ipaq2210/22.JPG] http://www.pdamed.dk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=538 - torrin ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted via RealCarAudio.com - The checkmate of the caraudio community http://www.RealCarAudio.co torring's Profile: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/m...nfo&userid=311 View this thread: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/s...p?threadid=664 | |||

| Junior Member | People have mentioned having the ECU reprogrammed by a dealer - any idea how much they charge? Sounds like a 5 minute job but our local dealers are shall we say not the most customer-friendly. Also I'm wondering how Citroen can legally make it so difficult to put your own radio into the car - has anyone complained to them? | ||
