I suspect the VDA wiring is missing because the factory radio was CAR300 - which, from memory, has no phone support. The Club, being the base model, may well have a stripped down wiring loom as well - as many of the options on higher models aren't available even as factory extras on the Club. Your options now are somewhat limited - at least without a load of hassle. I presume you have my document from <http:://www.wood2.org.uk/carkit.doc> I think your only option is going to be installing the missing contacts into the radio plug (the documentation is on the top of the radio, actually), and finding your own power feeds. The VDA microphone is a dead loss - use a Nokia one. The mute line is easy enough - yellow wire to the mute terminal on the radio's ISO connector. You'll need to get hold of the transformer and figure out which winding is which. If you want to go down this route, email me, and I'll see if amongst the papers I have on file I've got the wiring details of the transformer. >Any help and advice much appreciated. Well - I wouldn't want to attempt what you're doing - but I'll do what I can to help. David -- David Wood david@wood2.org.uk

However, the original poster's car is going to lack steering wheel controls, as it was originally supplied with a CAR300. Maybe that lead is the best solution in this case. I certainly wouldn't want to attempt what he is intending to! David -- David Wood david@wood2.org.uk
