Great for HI DEF inputs, but piss poor on inputs for normal analogue, like
Sky via scart or anything. In fact worst TV I have ever seen with a standard
SKY box.

Hey pal.
I've got the smaller 32" one of these and I cant fault it, great look which
matches the 360 well (all be it better with the 360 Elite), its standby
button looking rather like the 360 ring of light. Also this being my
initiation to a HD projection I was amazed.........

I'd be getting Sky HD anyway and my only console at the moment is a
360. That just leaves DVDs.

Do you mean it would be ropey for DVDs also?

Hmmm. The 360 and the player at my friends who has the set upscales. His dvd
connects via the HDMI, they both look good.

His standard sky box looks shocking on this set. So no, you should be ok,
and it is a good price for full 1080p

I have this set and it's fantastic. I don't have sky, but normal
analouge TV looks fine on it. Some old programs look shoddy, but all
the TV is doing is showing how bad the original film is. PS3 over
HDMI looks stunning.

I have my 360 hooked up via the VGA lead and the picture is superb.
Upscaled DVD's also look great. Only problem here is the TV won't let
you Zoom in, so some DVD's and XBox games are letter boxed. As the TV
can do 1080p over all connections (component, VGA and HDMI) you can
always switch to get a full screen picture.

Finally I believe the set is £1000 at PC World, if that's true it's a
bargain (paid £1200 for mine a couple of months ago).

i'd say go for it...all HD TVs look like **** when outputting standard def
, CRT still rules in that depaertment for me, but with an Hi Def feed like
sky or a decent upsacaling dvd player, you can't go far wrong.
