| Wouldn't hold your breath on it only hitting the xbox yet, mate. Its not even have a release date for any consoles, and Sega isn't foolish enough now to over do the exclusive thing they did when the xbox came out. I'm a bit surprised they didn't use Tri-Force after how great F-Zero is turning out, I guess they wanted to test out the hardware and see what happens. It's significant that AM2 chose the Chihiro board though, since they've, I think, been making games only for PS2 lately. > "Sprite Scaler" <spritescaler@directvinternet.com> wrote in message > news:8dca4a2e.0307102255.33033379@posting.google.c om... > > http://www.sega-am2.co.jp/outrun2/index.html > > > > > > Outrun 2 for arcades. running on XBox-based Chihiro arcade board. > > > > > > An Xbox exclusive port is pretty much a no-brainer. probably 2004 > > though, as the arcade is coming out this winter apparently. > > > > Finally, a direct sequel to the original Outrun! > > > > Turbo Outrun and Outrunners were not really the same > > > > finally, all this time later, we are getting a true sequel. > > > > look at the draw distance! > > > > I can't wait to hear the music. > > > --- > Posted via news://freenews.netfront.net > Complaints to news@netfront.net | |||

Well, they have made VF4 and Dreamcast/Naomi conversions for the PS2, but they also did the Shenmue II port and Virtua Cop 3 on Chihiro/Xbox hardware, so I wouldn't say they are unexperienced with this hardware. I like Outrun 2, but I was hoping the game was Shenmue III, so I'm a little disappointed. -- Juan C. Jiménez | |||

| It is being made for Xbox-based arcade hardware for a reason. so it can quickly and easily be ported to the console, with minimum difficulty and loss of audio/visual. if it was made for NAOMI-3 then yea, I wouldn't hold my breath. Also, see here: http://www.gamerfeed.com/index.php?story=3796 which is near the end of the thread (on google) "Ice Wipe Inc." <birdworm12@hotmail.conm> wrote in message news:<bem9o3$1dn6$1@adenine.netfront.net>... > Wouldn't hold your breath on it only hitting the xbox yet, mate.
