Default Where To Get A Replacement IDE Cable

If its the same as a PC cable yes you can turn it the other way round.
Just make sure the detent bit on the cable plug is the right way round
before you put it in the socket on the mobo & HD.

It is true of ata-100 cables to some extent. In most PC's the drive will
just fall back to using ata-33 if the cable is back to front.

mine didn't reccognise the drive at all, when plugging it in the wrong way
round.

i ended up buying another mobo, before realising my error! DOH!

I'm not too sure about ata-100's. I usually use ata-33 machines (work
don't buy new kit very often).
