master chief has become a parody of himself

Ya know, playing H2 I just can't help but think Bungie have managed to turn
MC from a cult hero to a parody, almost a joke. Everything in H2 seems
half-hearted, the humour isn't as funny as H1, the dialogue is mediocre at
best, the gameplay is laughable at times (like in the Outskirts level, with
a clever bit of driving either on a ghost or warthog you can drive all the
way through the tunnels without once engaging the enemy...but maybe that's
just me). And no-one can convince me that Halo3 - if there IS to be a
Halo3 - will be somehow reborn and revitalised, bringing MC back to the cult
status he deserves to be. Bungie have ruined it with Halo2; they've taken
the magic out of it For god's sake they have made playing Master chief
BORING!!!! Talk about commiting commerical suicide. Half of us prefer
playing the Arbiter than him....why is that? Was that Bungie's intent? Yes
I'm still playing Halo2, maybe because I'm desperate to like it as much as
Halo, but I have contemplated taking it out and never playing it again, in
favour of the REAL Halo. I can't shake the feeling that I've been ripped
off.... BIG TIME.
