| Halo 2 has come out, and found out that the Covenant are the forerunner. The Prophets, and all the other Covanant were left behind. The Prophets know EVERYTHING about Halo, or should I say, Halos. Even the flood. That explains why they have the same tecknology, and signs. I know this, because I heard an Elite say, "Thank the Forerunner for the Arbitor.". That explains alot!!!! | |||

| I disagree. Never once does it say that the Covenant are the Forerunners. The Prophets don't know everything about Halo, because they didn't know the location of the other rings after the one in the first game was destroyed, and the only way they even knew there were any was by ancient prophecies of the Forerunners. How does that one line mean any of this? | That is because the Prophets are trying to do what the Forerunner built Halo for. To destroy all sentient life. But they wuold have to lie about it so that all the alian races in the universe don't kill them. They needed alian races to help them servive, and protect them. And I have only heard the Elite say it once. Never again have I heard him say it. But as far as I'm concerned, it's true. | |||

There you go, Devala. That storyline is an intelluctual masterpiece.

| Thank's, if you ask me, I am obsessed with Halo. Anyways, in the first Halo, their are symbols in a lot of places in the game. What do you think they mean? (Everyone who want's to, respond.) | |||

So since it seems the elites are actually kinda smart, the prophets fired them and asked the stupid brutes to do the protecting so when the halos go off, the prophets will be protected and the alien races will be wiped out, meaning no more competition..... -or- the prophet is going to go to earth where they will be protected and will have access to the magic button. There they can hold the universe for ransom and make everybody else do their bidding. Imagine that, prophets are the Dr. Evil of Halo. One million gajillion, googlebillion dollars! muahhahahahah -stu

| Cool man. That is a good idea, I never thought of that before. But I did know that there was something biblical, or religios about Halo. Maybey the ship they are one at the end of the game is the ark. Like Cortana said, it was a Forerunner ship. | |||

| The Forerunner didn't create the Halos to destroy all sentient life, they created them as a final weapon against the Flood. That is clearly stated in Halo 2. And the Forerunner were wiped out by activating the Halos, so how could the Prophets have survived? They say all life in the galaxy was destroyed, and the cycle of evolution started over after that. This was all billions of years ago. Having Forerunners still around seems pretty hard to believe for me. The first might be possible, but it sure seemed that the Prophets WANTED to be wiped out by the Halos. That's the whole point of their 'Great Journey' stuff. | |||

| I've changed my mind about thinking the Ark is the Forerunner ship at the end, after thinking about it and watching the end over a few more times. I think the Ark is a ship, probably a Forerunner ship, but I think it is on Earth. My latest insane, completely implausible theory is that the Ark is buried beneath New Mombassa. Why else would the Covenant have landed only there? If the Ark was buried beneath the city, it would've survived the backlash from the slipspace jump Regret's ship made that took out the whole city.
