Halo 1 or 2

I just bought a Xbox and Halo 1, is there any way to play single player
missions except the campaign, I am thinking about can you play stuff like
capture the flag and Death match with AI bots and if no is that option
avaliable in Halo 2

No, there are no Multiplayer bots in either game.

No, Bungie thought about this, but decided that they couldn't do it
without compromising the game in other areas. In their minds, the
campaign is for single-player, and the rest is for pure multiplayer
use. It would have been nice for basic practice and killing time,
though, I agree. However, you can just play campaign levels back
through on heroic or legendary to get much of the same effect.

Also, try playing back through the game with different intentions, ie you
could go for speed runs, or try tricks like warthog jumping, I never got
bored with Halo single player, but now with Halo 2 on xbox live i have found
my new nirvana...

Yeah, I like setting goals, like not using weapons (only melee and grenades)
or going for fastest time.
