I enjoyed Halo 2, but not as much as Half Life 2. Halo 2 seemed more like
an update to the original than a full fledged sequal. While the story was
vastly improved (Minus the cruddy ending) Halo 2 doesn't even compare to Half
Life 2.

Halo 2 is mostly made up of drab levels. The High Charity backdrop was cool
to look at but that was about it. The graphics got somewhat of a facelift,
along with the weapons and vehicles, but the game is essentially the same as
the original and way too short. It should have been at least twice as long.

Half Life 2 aborbs you into the game. It has incredible atmosphere, cool,
weapons, greatly detailed level design, and cool puzzle. Plus it has the
Gravity Gun, one of the coolest weapons ever.

Thank you. Maybe now that HL2 is out, all these hard core Halo people will
open their eyes to what they've been missing. I played Halo 2 for about 4
hours and wasn't impressed. I don't have an XBox and Halo 2 did not give me
any reason at all to go out and buy one. I'm currently in the process of
beating HL2 and I totally agree that the game just absorbs you into the
game.

Good for you. Let me know when HL2 gets to the xbox then we'll talk.

It will never release on the XBox because the hardware can't handle it. Most
PC gamers will have to do some upgrading just to be able to play.
