| 1. Banshee- it is agile, can fire fuel rods and a normal plasma attack, has a decent reloading time, and can take a decent amount of damadge compared to what it can dish out. 2. Warthog- using the tight turning radius you can slaughter three people at the same time if they are stupid enough to travel in groups when there are vehicles, the gunner can really help when under fire(if they are good enough), and it has a high enough speed to satisfy all the Hit n' Run hillbillies that play Halo. 3. Ghost- It has the ability to strafe so you can really mess up the opposistions tactics, and you don't have to wait for the plasma gun, because it jas a good rate of fire. 4. Rocket Warthog- The rockets fire fast but they take too long to reload, but the driving ability and the ability to carry an extra passenger helps. 5. Scorpion- It has an immense amount of power, but the reloading takes too long. the Machine gun on it helps but not enough. Any lightly skilled player can take out a Scorpion with a banshee or in some cases a R. Warthog. but i'm guessing that's why Bungie made it able to take on 4 passengers to help with its speed and reloading weakness. I heard that Halo 2 will have the ability to let the computer controlled characters drive around, so it will really help on Campaign, but unless they threw in "bots" for Multiplayer, it shouldn't matter. If they did though would it help the game or hurt it? 1.because i played Perfect Dark and Unreal Tournament all the time before i got Halo and nobody wanted to fight me (except people that have never played before) because the computer controlled simulants were predictable and easy to kill. 2. Will it allow the average joe to gain experience fighting the bots instead of him getting killed playing against his friends and not learning anything from it, because you can only play Campaign so many times before you stop learning anything new(and thats when you start to stop playing the game). any thoughts on this? | |||

Halo 2 will have Campaign AI (Marines) driving Warthogs, Ghosts, and other vehicles, but there are no bots in multiplayer. -- Life is like a box of chocolates. If your windshield hits an enemy, it won't hurt them, so no matter how you do it, you can't guarantee a kill in Multiplayer. The Circle of Death isn't nearly as effective or as quick as just running into them. Also, if you zigzag around in the Ghost, it can be even more difficult to hit than the Warthog. And in Campaign, Banshees are almost invincible if you remain at high altitudes and take out enemies from beyond their range with the Fuel Rod Gun. Other Banshees can fly up to you, but the AI pilots suck so much I've seen them knock themselves out of a Banshee by scraping the belly against a wall, killing themselves and giving you a free Banshee with full health. Just slow down before you hit them so you can quickly recover from a miss, and turn sideways at the last second to throw off their dodge. Once you're good with it, it's even easier to run down Multiplayer enemies than the Covenant, since the AI can do the insane distance lunges out of your way. Also, it's next to impossible to hit Grunts and Jackals, since you just go over them. | |||

One time on the level Halo, a Banshee slammed into a tree and the pilot was ejected off the cliff. Momentarily, I thought "Alright! A free Banshee!" But my hopes were quickly dashed when I learned it was a "un-pilotable" Banshee. Another time on AotCR, a Banshee went completely berserk. It was on the ice rink near the underground chasm and I was on foot. I had just finished off everything but the Hunters, when the Banshee dive-bombed me. What's odd is that it was moving faster than normal, firing more, and it was using FRGs! After a few seconds, it smashed into the ground. Unfortunately, I was under it. In those cases, I'd suggest letting them take the Covenant's attention while you get into position. Let them die and then take out the Covenant at your leisure. Of course, if the preset AI paths were what you were relying on, then sometimes slaughtering the Marines beforehand is a good idea. >>>> Passengers aren't usually all that useful in the side seat of a warthog > or >>>> scorpion, but having a gunner can be nice in multiplayer, if they > couldn't >>>> get their own vehicle. | This is going to be my only response to this because I can't stand getting into an argument with noobs and how they think they really are not noobs. If you've ever played online then you should already know the answer. Anyone that sits there in a tank all game, or a shee, is a noob because they can't come out and fight "normal" because they suck too much. And you are right though, "anybody" can use them, but anyone can also use Rocket Launchers or Fuel Rods, but you don't see your good players doing that because it is noobish. I can kill someone just as fast with a pistol as with a RL or FR, but I haven't touched any of those weapons in over a year (I play under {RR}BgDaddy if you ever see me online then you can see for yourself that I don't use puss guns). I guess if you can't kill someone with a pistol (or other standard weapons), then you resort to picking up the heavy weapons and heavy weapon vehicles. It's cheap and all your good players know it's cheap, that's why in clan wars and tournaments they set the server up so they don't even put those weapons or vehicles on the board because it's about who is best, not who is fastest to the noob guns/vehicles. And that sir is why they are noobish. I play on the pc version just so you know and are not looking for me on XBox live or something. In places like T&R, the Marines are idiots; they run up, give away our position, and die. This unfortunately means friendly-fire is the only solution. And a lousy one at that. After I kill two, the others (usually 5 or 6) attack, causing damage to health and ammo. This is quite a blow, especially on Legendary. I prefer to take on all the Covenant alone, with only a sniper rifle. The Marines just throw grenades at me. > >>>> Passengers aren't usually all that useful in the side seat of a warthog > >>>> or > >>>> scorpion, but having a gunner can be nice in multiplayer, if they > >>>> couldn't > >>>> get their own vehicle. I had the same disappointment as you. A similar thing happened in AotCR, but in a different way and I could fly the Banshee. It's a long story if you wanna pass it up: I was running full-blast in a Ghost past the ice rink towards the underground chasm. When I reached the door, I jumped out of my Ghost and activated the switch. But I didn't realize how many enemies had followed me. I looked up the hill and there were (rough estimate) 4 Grunts, 2 Elites, 4 Ghosts, 3 Jackals, 2 Hunters, and a Banshee. All of them coming to kill me. Anyway, I ran away towards the undergound chasm (hey, you'd run too), and passed a loading point. I went back and everything was frozen. An Elite didn't even fight back when I ran up and socked him in the face. I also found two Elites that kept moving in one direction (and eventually into a wall). Anyway, I found a Banshee, but an Elite's corpse that lay next to it (i.e. they both had fallen out of mid-air). What's odd is that the Banshee was closed, as if there was a pilot in it. Oh, well. Just a story of mine... > > Another time on AotCR, a Banshee went completely berserk. It was on the ice > > rink near the underground chasm and I was on foot. I've only seen a Banshee actually try to run the MC into the ground when this glitch has happened. Otherwise, I've only seen Banshees use FRGs on other vehicles; I was on foot... :-\ > >>>> Banshees are also very useful for just flying over everything; stay > > high > >>> and > >>>> nothing can stop you. | I find Rockets and Fuel Rods very fun. I often play games with just Rockets, and I love them. I'm not a noob; I don't enjoy using tanks and rockets and all that in normal games, but sometimes I like just playing only with them.
