| For testers and others who may know about Halo 2 for Xbox. Has Halo 2 makers had the sense to add the option to have music volume control - meaning able to lower it and turn it off ?! Also have they had the sense to center the weapons sounds to the center speaker in Dolby Digital 5.1 ?! Therefore in headphone play they should be centred / balanced between speakers. In Halo, using headphones, your weapon sounds only come out of the right speaker which is crap ! Halo headphone test. My Halo is played through a Dolby Digital home theatre system using the Advanced AV pack with the digital optical audio lead. Listen to Halo with headphones and you should hear the poor audio arrangement. Your weapon sounds only come out of the right speaker ! Your weapon sounds should be balanced between the 2 headphone speakers. I tried it with the standard RCA leads and same thing happens. To get weapon sound balance you have to set the Xbox audio output to mono ! | |||

| How many times do I have to say this? You can change the music volume of Halo 1! Weapon sounds only coming out of the right speaker makes perfect sense, since the Master Chief holds his weapon to the right of his head. Therefore, it's just mimicking the way he would hear it as much as it can. Although being able to change this setting would be nice... | Start up your Xbox with Halo and you will see that there is NO music volume option. You will be then sure for certain without a doubt. Apparently there is music volume option only in Halo 1 for PC / computer. | Okay, I'm pretty sure you're right. It's just that I hadn't played Xbox Halo in a long time, so I was getting used to PC Halo, which does have the option. Well, in this case I do agree with you that Halo should have the option to change music volume. And since they added it to the PC version, they obviously considered it an improvement, so it's almost certain to be in Halo 2.
