spot the Flood!

When you begin the 343 Guilty Spark mission, in the swamp, once you move
past the crashed Covenant dropship you get to a long tree-like structure
leading to a steep hill with a stationery gun on top (which leads to the
entrance to the structure where there's a big explosion and Covenant run
out). If you walk along that tree and keep your eye on that area for a
minute, near the stationery gun, you see something moving about. Look
again....it's a Flood! I've had Halo for months and only just spotted that;
at first I thought it was a Grunt or Jackal. But it moves and looks like a
Flood.

Anyone else spot it?

I saw the silhouette of that flood the very first time I played it, and I've
noticed it every time since. The first time I thought it was an Elite
because I'd never seen a flood before, but every other time I've shot at it
to try and get its attention or kill it so you could see one of them before
going into the room where you first really meet them, but I've never been
able to. Do you know if it's possible to kill it?
