New multiplayer maps?

I'm slightly puzzled that after all this time since Halo's release there
still don't appear to be any multiplayer maps other than those supplied with
the game.

We've been playing Halo (on the PC) for several months now and it's still
excellent fun, but most games of this type have piles of user-created maps
by now. Where are the Halo maps? Have the map creation tools not been made
available?

I imagine they will be glad to SELL us some expansion pack with maps .. they
will change their tune on the next HALO after UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004 takes a
chunk of their market.

I read in a magazine that people are working on it, and have actually
altered so that vehicle matches can be one vehicle each (16 tanks!!!).
Unfortunately, for the xbox, you have to have it chipped, thus lowering its
price to £0.00.

A chipped box does not make it cost 0.
Just means that it will receive no support from microsoft.
