| Anyone else using this combination? I've got it working but having some odd problems using ISA server. I've opened the relative ports and it connects ok and I can join games fine. However, if there is a required update it refuses to download it with an error of "Xbox live is not responding" and while playing some games (notably Midtown Madness 3), some cars appear not to be moving (although I've confirmed that they really are) and I cant always hear everyone in the game. Also I can be tagged in Hunter without seeing anyone near me. I know its not a lag problem because if I use it direct through ICS (Windows) then it works a treat and I can download updates etc. Using 512K/256k broadband with USB modem and ICS = works fine. Same USB modem plugged into running ISA server = problems. Anyone else experience similar? Cheers Graham | |||

You are correct - there is currently nothing you can do that will allow you to access downloadable content from behind an ISA Server. If you are getting lag issues you should just check to see that you have not got too many filters or rules setup and also that your ISA Server is not trying to cache content as accessed. Also disable the content download service in case this is doing a big cache refresh in the background. For now I too have to drop to a Windows XP box with ICS to access download content. -- Regards, Mike -- Mike Brannigan [Microsoft] This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights Please note I cannot respond to e-mailed questions, please use these newsgroups "Graham" <me@privacy.net> wrote in message news:bk414j$oljpn$1@ID-158414.news.uni-berlin.de... > Anyone else using this combination? > > I've got it working but having some odd problems using ISA server.
