| Just received an email from MS regarding the free game supplied to those subscribing to LIVE during July They have managed to email a huge list of their customers without hiding the email addresses I'm sure SONY would love this list for marketing / mailshot purposes and I guess someone will have sold it already by now Well done MS .. another stupid mistake !!!!!! | |||

However, if you were hit with a mailshot by Sony, you could (a) Ring them up to tell them to take you off their mailing list. Honest companies tend to be quite willing to help people if they do not want to be bothered. You could also explain that it was clear that the address was collected by illegitimate methods. (b) Add the company to a list of e-mail domains to be blocked. Also, the publicity running from such an action would probably go along the lines of Sony smacking of desperation by having to hit the Miscrosoft LIVE subscribers. Now, other Spammers would love the list of course. | |||
