Also some ISP limit torrent traffic so you need to encrypt the data via an option in utorrent. I am at work so can't link to relevant pages but sure if you put in google Azereus and Slow downloads and UPnP it will start you on right track. I was using Azureus which did seem to slow down when I went from 1/2 meg adsl to 2meg cable which was frustrating, went to utorrent and got same issue - went to old version of utorrent after reading forums and now am at top speed - however I do tend to focus on just one download at a time now and haven't downloaded anything for a while. Obviously it could be that the uploaders are severly limitying their bandwidth but with the numbers suggested I doubt it. Additionally I don't know if these programmes have introduced limits unless your ratio is at certain value but I have not really heard much on this. Again I stress I am no expert in this area and am sure someone will be along in a minute with a more professional response. Good Luck Cheers K | |||
