Halo 2 on 360 prob

Decided to have a quick go of Halo 2 online (only ever played single player
on the old Xbox due to cable problems)
I have all the available maps downloaded (except the recent pack). If I try
to go into Optimatch or Quickmatch I only get "A map is missing from this
playlist". Am I forced to pay the £2 (it's only £2, but it's the principle I
object to!) to play any online multiplayer?

Yep. I get the same damn thing. I guess I won't be playing O- or Q-
match anymore 'cuz I ain't paying it...

Yup, they've incorporated the new maps into matchmaking, so you'll not be
able to get a game without them.
I think I heard that they will be free from the beginning of July, so if you
object to paying you'll have to wait until then. That's what I'm doing,
tightwad that I am.
The Halo 3 beta will keep me going in the mean time.

They extended it to 10th June in light of the Crackdown ****-up, so
we've still got the best part of 3 weeks left.
