360 and media player

is there anyway i can change the default pay to the my videos section on the
xbox360 it will only find videos in the my videos folder on the c:\ i woul
like to put my movies on a 500gb drive and not the one my operating system
sits on..

..e.g i want the 360 to go the e:\ instead


any ideas?

How are you accessing the Video. I take it your not using MCE? If it's
through media player do you not do it through the folders setup in MP?

Tools > Options > Library > Monitor Folders

I havent used MP to stream video to the 360 so I'm not entirely sure. I
used to use TVerstiry to stream media to the 360 before getting Media
Center

yeah do it through MCE

but when you load it up on the 360 it goes to default my videos on the C:\
and there is no settings on the 360 to change this?

I cant check right now, bu off the top of my head you go into the settings
on MCE on 360 and set which folders it should monitor. You can open each
drive and then select folders and sub folders. Stick your files in before
or after you have set the 360 shouldnt make any difference. I have all my
music on D: and Videos on E:.

can you talk me through the exact menu and selection your talking about i
see no option to change folders.

On the 360 go to Tasks then hit left on the pad and you will get Settings.
From here go to Library Setup.

you don't change folders, you add them to your shared folders list on
the pc.

the 360 just accesses what your pc tells it to, you don't change
anything on the xbox itself.

open media centre on your pc, go to my videos and right click
anywhere, then select "add videos" then point it to where your files
are.
