Idiots Guide to 360 Streaming

So i just chucked my old xbox in the cupboard but am missing my huge stash
of mp3 and tv shows

Could some kind soul tell me what i need to stream stuff to the 360 from my
pc? Its all networked up on a router i just havnt got a clue what software i
need.

Im using xp pro but not media centre.

I'm running a 2.4Ghz P4, and I can happily stream to it at 640x480 if
I'm transcoding.

When I tried it with WMP11 and WMC, it said it was "indexing" or something
whilst it maxed out the CPU on my PC. For three hours... That was when I
disabled it and never bothered again.

The tv shows are likely to be in xvid, divx or maybe even h.264.
WMP11/WMC will not stream those codecs.
