Network hard drive for streaming to XBOX

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know the cheapest product that will do this reliably? I think I
need a UPNP external hard drive or a server that allows you to connect
external hard drives via USB2.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. I would like something for less
than £50 without a hard drive if possible. If there is something WITH a hard
drive (say 250GB+) for under £100 I would be very happy indeed!!

MS Update for Media Extender software, to play Divx and Xvid install the
codecs, enabl;e media sharing in WMP11 and install transcode 360 from
www.runtime360.com and you can stream anything, install the K-Mega Codec
Pack, do a google for more codecs...

you enable UpNP port on your router to download torents or movies etc you do
nopt a HDD, but I am gettting and external to back up all TV and movies to
play...

Skidz... you're a f*in star! I don't know if you've tried TVersity which was
linked from the site you said.. but it is absolutely fantastic.. You
probably know about it .. Streaming on nearly any device you can think of..
mobile phone, psp, any windows PC. And web browser and rss feeds all built
in to stream your media.

I had a few teething problems with my router (had to disable loopback on a
Linksys WRT54GS with sveasoft firmware) to get upnp to work 100% but now
i've got it streaming BBC radio on my xbox 360 for god sake!! Absolutely
amazing software. AND FREE!!! On top of that you've saved me buying a
network hard drive, I was just thinking of getting something low power for
upnp but this is well worth using my pc more as a server.
