I completely missed anything that might have been mentioned about these, but
apparently it's another double header:

Pinball FX (800pts)
Eets: Chowdown (800pts)

Pinball sounds good.
WTF is Eets?

Pinball is poop, the ball is too heavy as well as other things just not
feeling right, go get visual pinball and pinmame then you can play all
the best tables like TAF & the twilight zone (free too).

Bummer.
I've got VPB/pinmame, and like you said, it's ****ing ace.
Big fan of 'Tales of the Arabian Nights' and 'Theatre of Magic' - worth a go
if you haven't played them already. Also, all the other Data East tables
from TAF era completely rock. Nothing quite beats the feeling of actually
*physically* playing them though.
I miss the days when pubs had pinball tables. In the late 80s/early 90s,
when I lived in Edinburgh then Sheffield, virtually every pub had at least
one. These days I haven't seen one in years.

Chris.

I once nearly bought "The Shadow" pinball table with my christmas
bonus, as it's considered to be one of the best of all time. There's a
site called pinballheavon or something like that that sells
reconditioned ones. When I finally decided I'd stump up the cash about
a year later, the table had more than doubled in price.

Yeah, I've often considered getting a table. Possibly one in need of work,
so it could be a proper hobby job. Thing is (apart from issues of space and
wife) the one table that I'd *really* want (the 1990(?) Data East Star Wars
table) tends to cost a fortune, even in a state of complete knackeredness,
or at least it did last time I looked a few years back.

Chris.

Broken, apparently. It's supposedly been removed at the last minute as it
doesn't work.

Yup, even Namcoland in Meadowhall is **** now (as of last in).

I stuck some pinball tables (and flipper buttons) onto my arcade cab,
so now I don't need to go to the arcades

Heh, many a lunchtime spent in there (not sure if it was called Namcoland at
the time, but I presume we're talking about the arcade above the food hall).
Stone House in the city centre always used to have a couple of tables (if
you could bear the ****hole), and the Florist in Walkley (conveniently
located about 3 yards from my front door for about a year) had a beautifully
maintained Terminator 2 table (as well as the slopiest snooker tables for
miles around and cockles in foil bags), plus countless studenty places
around Crookes/Crookesmoor that all had at least one...
Happy days.

Chris.
