Yet Another Yet Another Guitar Hero II thread/rant

For obvious reasons this is still the best game ever. Even better with
Captain Morgan. I don't even like rum, but for some reason drinking a bottle
makes you feel even more rock star.

Righty, so there I am, Saturday night, bbq-pissed (no food, lots of drink)
actually getting past Surrender on Hard after 2 days of trying, my last one
to open up 5 more songs, hell I even first timed the encore!

Whilst we are here, what happens if you decline to encore in career mode to
get the achievment, do you not get that song to play on that batch of 5
songs?

yup, just refuse the encore, and when you get dumped back to the song
selection, you get to choose it from the list. On hard, you have to do
it before it'll open the next setlist anyhow.

LOve this game, toooo tooo ****in' haaaarrrrddd...i have no idea how people
can rack up those scores on youtube...i mean this is one HARD game lol

Same here :-)

Eventually managed to 5 star all the easy songs, even got perfect on
Surrender.

Finding medium pretty difficult though. I managed to complete it, by the
skin of my teeth on a lot of songs though, the amp had been pulsing red
for a while when the last notes came up a few times :-)

Managed to 4 star a few of the easier ones, but having a real tough time
with a lot of them. I can see it'll be a while before I can 5 star them
all, daren't even think about hard yet :-)

no chance of this game featuring ' another brick in the wall ' as a download
any time soon, eh? :-(

Oh, you should be on hard, I pussied out for about 3 days after completing
Medium before I took the plunge to hard and although it seemed a bit
daunting at first, Heart Shaped Box is easy until and after the solo, and
Strutter wasn't too hard either.

The jump in difficulty just makes easy and medium sooooo more pallatable....
