Default 360 controller problem

Usually I switch on the 360 by pressing the guide button on the controller.
For some odd reason its not working anymore though.
The controller switches on, it just does not switch console on aswell and
the green light just goes round and round until I manually switch on the
console.

Any ideas to the problem? Controller issue or 360 issue?

Try re-syncing the contoller to the console?

Happens to me sometimes, but switching it on on the console fixes it for a few
weeks.

That's not an attitude that would have won us the war, sonny.

The batteries are okay, but I will try the resynch as Turbohat suggests.

Occasionally happens to me, then I have to switch on at the console as
well. Happens with different controllers and different 360s. Maybe it
just doesn't get a connection to the 360 sometimes.
