I switched to cat-5 months back because I didn't feel the wireless was making the best connection on the PS3. I relocated my router and cable modem to be next to the tv so I could run a wired connection to my PS3 and x-box, with all the PC's in the house using wireless. Things definately work much better now. Also, remember that your total bandwidth is shared, so if you have any downloads running on your PC (especially bit torrents, e-donkey, kazaa, etc. which all keep a lot of conections open), or if someone in the hosue is surfing the web on a PC when you are playing RFOM, this will definately affect your PS3's online performance. Thats all I can suggest for now. The only online gaming I have done is Motorstorm and was only kicked off once in about 4 hours of play so I've been very happy with network performance. My bigger peeve has been with the bluetooth cutting out on the controller, but even that is pretty infrequent. -yukon -- --------------------------------- --- -- - Posted with NewsLeecher v3.5 Beta 10 Web @ http://www.newsleecher.com/?usenet ------------------- ----- ---- -- - | |||
