| The analogy by Stringer is flawed and here's why: 1. Several third-party games available on both PS3 and XBox 360 have been compared and most often the XBox 360 has been found to have superior graphics (although only by a small margin... these comparisons are non-subjective, it's easy to prove the quality difference in side-by-side comparison screen shots and Sony and PS3 fans can't hide from this fact or dispute it). 2. Many XBox 360 games load faster than their PS3 counterparts.... almost all compared did. So if Stringer is calling the PS3 a Mercedes, he means off the mark. The PS3 is more like a $1,000,000 dollar Rolls Royce, loaded with luxury features likes all hand carved wood interior, gold and diamonds, but it can't outperform a $500,000 Lamborghini. The 360 in this scenario is the Lamborghini. This is a more accurate analogy, since by all measures Sony failed to deliver a superior game system. Instead they delivered a very expensive, moderate and respectable game system with a the luxury feature of a Blu-Ray movie player. In market where every penny counts, Sony's product is extremely over priced as a game platform, it remains a bargain Blu-Ray player.... if you're in the market to own a Blu-Ray HD movie player and a next-gen game console, the PS3 may be a good choice, then again at this point the Sony execs are actually starting to mention the "if it fails... it's because....", I hope everyone considering purchasing a PS3 realizes how bad the situation has to be for executives to even mention the posibility of failure like this.... it's bad folks, very bad. Again, I'm reminded of when Sega lost and backed out of consoles, what's happening with Sony is different in that it's happening so fast. It's like Sega's downfall at light speed. It took Sega over a year before they talked about possible failure with Saturn and then they had enough industry clout to follow Saturn with the Dreamcast. How you may ask could Sony completely fall out altogeather after one console gone bad.... Simply put: they gambled a lot more.... Their stakes were about three times higher, their losses insurmountable. PS3 will most likely go down as the poorest decision in gaming history. It's like the the NFL team who's one three Super Bowls in a row and they are strong this year, one game away from going on to their fourth Super Bowl then they their quarter back, thinking himself indestructible begins a series of extremely arrogant mistakes..... It's a train wreck folks. And everyone at Sony responsible deserves what they get..... At this point consumers.... well many of us have tried to tell you people what's going on.... most of what we say is supported by facts... comments by the executives of Sony, documented accounts of their actions, documented accounts from other media sources (e.g. the comparison of graphics). You can think this is "fan boy" speak all you want... that's just a label, it doesn't make any of this less true.... At this point it is foolish to buy a PS3. If you're a consumer and you choose to ignore all the information available to you and follow your "Sony can't be wrong" gut feeling, you deserve what you get for being foolish with your investments and $500 and the thousands you'll spend on games is an investment for most of us. This isn't play money... this your hard earned money.... this is a greedy company, putting their self-interest first, cross marketing technology (Blu-Ray) most of you do not need... Don't buy into their game. On Mar 19, 2:41 pm, "AirRaid" <AirRaid1...@gmail.com> wrote: > Stringer said, "Wii is a wonderful device, but has a different target > audience.
