PS2 or XBOX?

Xbox has these disadvantages.

No 56K modem support
Must purchase $50 X-Box live kit to go online
Must pay $10 per month to go online
Must have credit card to go online
Must pay whatever extra fees the publishers decide on to play online.
Lots of FPS ports from the PC
Can't run many games at 60Hz when using progressive scan
Controller has been voted as the worst controller ever created
Most games only run at 30 frames per second
It's very big and fugly
Has no USB ports
Has no built in DVD player
Doesn't always do a great job of playing PS2 exclusive ports (Substance has
massive slowdown every time it rains)

These are the advantages.

It has a hard drive that you can use to save games on and copy music files
on.
(Like you can't get the same effect by turning off the music volume and
turning up your stereo. (No copying needed))
Lots of ports from the PS2 with enhanced graphics
(If you consider slower framerates and slightly better textures enhanced
graphics)
Load times are usually faster on multiplatform games
(If a total of 3-5 seconds really bothers you that much)
Has 2 AAA exclusives
(Halo, Halo2)
3 times as powerfull as the leading game console.
(The leading console would be the Game Boy Advance)
Has 4 controller ports built in
(Holy button mashers batman)


The PS2 disadvantages.
Doesn't come with E3 booth babes

The PS2 advantages.
Corrects all disadvantages of the Xbox
Exceeds all advantages of the XBox
Has a line-up of over 4000 video games (PS1 and PS2)
Hundreds of AAA titles (PS1 and PS2)
Exclusive titles usually have graphics on par or better than most Xbox
games.
(Primal, Ratchet and Clank 2, Jack and Daxter 2, FFX, FFX-2, DMC, etc, etc,

Well, it looks like DiskReadError has himself a new name. Still needing a new
pair of glasses, eh? If you actually think DMC is on par with or exceeds Xbox
games as far as graphics, you must be blind, both literally and figuratively.
I'm still waiting for that proof that the PS2 is more powerful than the Xbox.
Game quality is something which is arguable; technical claims aren't. Then
again, I don't expect a guy who thinks that Red Faction 2 looks better than
Halo, and whose response to facts he doesn't like is "you're wrong", to believe
anything other than what Sony tells him to believe.
