Sons to Substance

Hello,

Somebody accidentally damaged my copy of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of
Liberty, so I need a replacement. Now, I kind of kicked myself when
Substance was announced and it seems that here's my chance to get it as a
replacement for my damaged original. My question is this: will Substance
accept my save game from Sons of Liberty? Thanks.

This post was actually a good question unlike most things i've read recently on
the boards.Except my jujubees question. Probably won't accept the save, they're
2 different games, one requires SoL savegame, the other substance save game.

I have both and can confirm that SoL and Substance savegames are not
compatible. Personally, I would just get Substance and start over, since
the extra features give it greater replay value, and the exact same
original game is included.

From what I remember yes it will.

Ah, I see conflicting views here Oh well, I'll get Substance anyway (hey,
I'm not paying for it), and start over if I have to. I was in the middle of
doing Extreme mode, however, though I think I just gave up at the Vamp boss.
I couldn't get a chance to hit him the last couple of times when he starts
going crazy. But then I thought I'd never get past the harrier bit either,
then I came back to it after a couple of months and did it on my first
attempt. But I'm digressing.

If you are going to buy new anyway, then maybe get Substance. Of course you
will have to start over, but you get more for your money :-)
