Default Disc Read Error

My ps2 will only play the silver coloured disc's, the blue or purple
coloured one's come up with DRE any help greatly received.

thats because the PS2 DVD-ROM drive is crap.

The silver disks are DVDs, the blue/purple ones are CDs. Take a look

Default Disc Read Error

Mine had the same problem. I took it to the local FX and had it cleaned.
Now it works w/ dvd games too. The wierd thing is that would play DVD
movies before as well.
