Lara Croft of Tomb Raider?

Reading the news and have seen that it say

"Lara Croft of Tomb Raider fame has gone on to become one of the most famous virtual celebrities."

Do you really think that Lara Croft of Tomb Raider is that good looking? and is the game Tomb Raider any good I have seen that they have brought or bringing out another Tomb Raider, what are your thoughts on thsi?

Yes I liked the old one as well it was very adictive in lots of ways so I can see this one being the same or even better

Friggin hated the first tomb raider, With it's characters created from 2 polygons and a lame camera, and jumping controls that made you go crazy after 5 minutes.

Lara Croft may not be the most beautiful, but she certainly has an attitude people jump for.

And as the various games progressed and developed, her details slowly began to 'stand out.' I especially like her rendering in the "Angel Of Darkness".

This fame might have been influenced by the Tomb Raider movies with Angelina Jolie. The PS character isn't that goodlooking, but she has the curves that a woman would want (rather common in computer games).

I don't know, but I believe she's been getting a lot of hype ever since Tomb Raider 1 came out. I think it's not the movie that gave it the hype - it's the other way around. The hype gave it the movie. Two, even!

What made her stand out are two things: a.) revolutionary gameplay, b.) character attitude and design.


Tomb Raider 2 boosted that further with the introduction of different attire in some levels. Although Tomb Raider 3 started the descent of the series, it still managed to generate a larger fanbase. That's what made her a household name.


I even recall seeing a print ad from a mag regarding Lara. It went like, "It's because everywhere I look, all I see is Lara Croft." I don't know if some of you have seen that.

The games were great, alright. But Lara, I just couldn't find attractive. Even by her personality.

Not even the almost-Angelina-Jolie version turns me on. I did like Angelina Jolie taking the role of Lara Croft in her movies. However, the movies might deserve better cinematography than what they got.
