Have you ever taken a PS2 or Xbox to bits?

I have, to both console! ^_^
The Xbox is way less complicated then the PS2..
At the moment im still fixing my PS2 but I managed to screw up the CD drive..Dunno how though...I nearly killed myself by fixing my PS2 O_O
Xbox is much better made!

Xbox is absolutely much better than PS2
Xbox has some fantastic features over PS2... and thats why i recomment people to take XBOX!

I have never taken a PS2 into bits! cuz I always consult my engineer before breakin in!

I don't know about you guys but Mattster is really an inquisitive person. You really tried looking the parts into bits. Please share with us, what you have learned in examining the parts so we don't have to open our game consoles anymore.

I have taken the PS2 apart for fixing. Be surprised to know how easy they are to fix not really many things to go wrong on it. Disc read errors once of the most common and easy to fix complients

i disected two "broken" xboxes and made one that worked, it was pretty fun, the playstation 2 i took apart because i was bored

It took me long enough to put a chip in my xbox! And it was a push in no soldering involved so id prob kill it if i took it apart!!

lol a solder in chip isnt that hard to configure, just drag your xbox files to a pc, boot from linux and swap the files.....the hardest part is like opening the box haha

I might take mine to bits if they make a PS2 game of The Teletubbies, or Barney.


So far I don't have any guts to open up the console (it's brand new anyway, no fixes needed). I have a very definite tendency of taking things slowly into oblivion (or the trash can, at least).
