What are "PTR sites"?

PTR is a new form of advertisement on the web. Companies are willing to pay a lot of money to these sites for the sites to send out these advertisements to their members. All you, as a member, need to do is read the advertisement. You don't need to pay anything to these sites; just spend time, and open the Windows (you will decide how many advertisements you want to read).

I think it is always better to check scam list and then go ahead with a PTR, because 75% of PTR sites are scam. I have added a few() pof them on my blog. In The Web 2.0 » Blog Archive » Black List of PTC, PTR, I hope it will help.

PTR is the most cheap sites that pay you. Yes, you hear me, cheap. Most of them pay 0,001 per ad clicks. Yes not 1 cent but 0,1 cents or sometimes even lower. the email usually got 0,5 cents but mostly got paid by point. You can change the point by advertising there.

The only PTR come close to okay is Hits pay. They give you $10 bonus sign out. 2 cents per email read.

Of course they had a downside: minimum pay out $25 and there are no many email to read. Probably 10 a week.

I am stucking with them cause they pay decently. 10 email a week equals 20 cents. You had to click 200 emails like that in other PTR , not to mention most of the mail only paid you by points.

Forgot, like Anish said. If you find PTR sites that promise you 1 dollar per email read or more, that was a SCAM. Some of sites had $500 minimum pay out with $200 fees for cash out. Insane right? Some also satetd in their TOS that the money they promise is not real money, and that cash can only be advert into advertising.

So PTR had 3 types:

- PTR SCAM that promise pay you very high
- PTR cheap that pay you very very little but they does pay you.
_ PTR honest that pay you decently but very hard to find.

I do agree with you. There was one PTR site that I have joined that offers 1 dollar per read mail. Until now I have not received payment upon reaching payout. There are also those sites that really pays but it takes time to reach payout. I have not been active on PTR sites since I am quite busy on other things.

I agree that the above ptr sites mentioned by markstoon are definitely legit and paying. But once again its the number of referrals you have in these sites is the key to have some decent earnings or else the amount earned is not worth the time spent in such sites.

10 email per week? Are you joking? I join theme about two months ago an guess what since I join theme they only sent me 3 emails. how do they expect me to make money with the system they have like this? unbelievable!!!

Anyway which country you come from because if you come from the US I would not be surprise. I feel like some website are not fair actually and for international member they are useless because unless you registered as US citizen they will not send you email and if they well only once in a blue moon. I mean I can understand thus who only pay by check but the one that pay by paypal and other online system I cannot understand why they cant be fair to there members.

Oh.....anyway it up to theme because me I am not prepared to waste my time with thus PTR that is not fair to their members.
