well i don't get good money from my blog and while i was googling to know why??
i hear from my friends that they make about 200$ a month from thier blogs so i dig the net till i find ten reasons ,,,,that i don't make money caz of these

1 Not enough time - as Chris writes, it is hard work and takes time on an ongoing (daily ideally) basis
2 Giving Up too quickly - most successful blogs don’t hit their strides til they are at least 12 months old
3 Non commercial Topic - some topics are easier than others to find significant income streams for
4 Lack of writing skills - like it or not, blogging is a written form and unless you are able to write you’ll almost always struggle
5 Breaking the Rules - some bloggers get greedy and break the rules, either of the ad programs they use or the unwritten rules of blogging
6 Distractions for the core functions of a blog - many get caught up in one of the many distractions that challenge bloggers and forget to concentrate on their actual writing of quality content
7 Unluckiness - sometimes a blog’s success hinges on a lucky moment - miss i or fail to take the opportunities that come and you might miss significant rewards
8 Taking Readers for Granted - I’ve seen a couple of blogs over the last year or so that fell over because the blogger became so self important that they forgot that a blog rises and falls upon whether it’s readers find the blog useful to them.
9 Spreading self too thinly - many bloggers have the gift of being visionaries (a good thing) but fail to have the gift of realism. The result is that many start things that they have no way of seeing through or spread themselves across too many projects too quickly (to the detriment of all of them).
10 Lack of Focus - hyperactive bloggers who flit from one unfinished project or idea to another without seeing anything through tend to fail to build sustainable blogs

Well, I have just started out with blogs. I find your post very interesting. I think this would really help me in my quest to earning. Though I am just new, I fully agree with you that working with to many at one time could somehow lead to disaster since you won't be able to get good quality.

I have a couple of blogs and I am getting mentally ready to either update, redo or just start another one. The ones that I have only one of them has given me decent results, although could be better. The ten reasons you have posted can really make one think about what they have or have not done correctly and things they may need to change.
There are a few more things that may make a difference;
Proper spelling and using the top key words as titles in you topics to get it picked up by google spiders and other search engines.

Hi actually sometimes there's one little reason why we couldn't make the cash from our blogs. The only and one reason is "LAZY"! it sort of loosing all the gut to write and find the idea. It happened to me before, it's out of control. I spent a lot of time in front of the computer but i only could write little.LOL.

Lately mine main reason is #9 Spreading myself too thinly. That is exactly what I have done. I am a member of way too many programs and I will be canceling several as soon as I hit payout. Some just seem to take too much time for little pay. I guess it is a live and learn thing. I just got an accurate count and with all my paid to sites I am a member of 109. I am making decent money, but like I said some are just not worth it.

I agree with you JPSO138 because I been there working with too many then turn out at the end with nothing because the concentration is not there. I am starting my new blog too and I could never finish it because of so many things around my hand and many website I been looking at to I think this post is gonna help me a lot now. God I can believe it, it never come into my mind that this could be the reason why I am not making any money at all in the net its because I am all over the show.

Anyway thanks again for this post because believe me this waken me up a lot and for sure I think this will going to work.

Thanks for sharing those tips, I'm searching for advice like this as I am working on my first blog. My favorite from the list is:

As a reader of blogs, I tend to respond better to writing that has me as the reader in mind. Nowadays especially, I will not read anything that is condescending or too assuming of the reader.

I understand any writing needs to be professional and site sources, but maybe I'll do a search on the unwritten rules of blogging, since I've not heard of them before.
