But note that there are some people that will remove you link from the bottom, but there isnt much you can do about this

| Member Level 2 | I just write articles and submit them to article directories. If you don't submit them then you will not receive any backlinks.

| Member Level 1 | The key to submitting articles however, is to make sure they go into the right category for your topic! Being in the Article Submission business I see a lot of people who treat article submissions like they do classifed ad submissions. They don't pay attention to where they're placing their articles, so they very rarely ever get read. Category placement also has a lot to do with the value of your backlinks. The search engines index these directories looking for relevancy. If you don't put your articles in relevant categories then this hurts your AND the directory's rankings. Just thought I'd add my two cents worth | ||

| Member Level 1 | Here's another little tidbit most people don't realize . . . Article directories are among the fasting rising PR sites on the Internet. We've seen them go from PR0 to PR 3 and up in a matter of a few months, and some that are less than a year old have made it all the way to PR8 which rivals them with sites like MSN and Amazon. So it really doesn't matter which directories you submit to because they're all rising in ranking day after day. | ||

| Member Level 2 | What I would do is make all your articles your own. Here is the long term advantage. (I am assuming your articles are properly submitted and categorized). A. Not everyone copies, so the more you get your name out there, the more it will be recognized. B. You should be keeping copies of them, who you sumbitted to, and when. C. What you have saved can be put together in a collection series or ebook, and redistributed. You could even use them in an eCourse of mini-series. Hope it helps. Kathy MarginsXs | ||

Good ideas there, I keep all my articles in mostly Doc format, in time I will mostlikly sell these, but I would like mine to get indexed for a long time first

| Member Level 2 | Absolutely! Being indexed for quite some time is all about establishing solid Credibility. Seems to me there will always be the link-removers, etc, but it won't last. In the end, whatever future time that is, we'll all win over that kind of stuff. Because the net can be so impersonal, one would think that an identity can be so easily lost. I've been reading other people's stuff for awhile now, and I can say I can tell one person's style from another. It is just like a music band; know how you can detect one group's sound from the other? It's the same thing. And if someone is good enough to be copying my style, guess what? I'm not the one they are interested in! What a slap! Have a good day everyone, Kathy Marginsxs | ||

| Member Level 2 | Perhaps most of you have already heard of this neat piece of free software. I heard it once before, and upon hearing it a second time, it finally sunk in to check it out. Concerned that someone may have your article somewhere. Check this out: http://www.virtuallystrange.net/ufo/.../m02-010.shtml This http isn't what it seems. It is titled "Find The Copycats" Reading down, the page also says, : Here is a really nifty online utility to find other sites which copy, "scrape" or plagiarize your hard work: http://www.copyscape.com/" Great stuff. Check it out!! Hope this helps. Kathy MarginsXs.com | ||
